The Language Festival is an ongoing campaign to showcase the importance of language learning in the UK.

As part of our ongoing campaign to showcase the importance of language learning in the UK, we will be holding our second joint national Language Festival in partnership with the Guardian during October and November 2014.

Celebrating languages and the UK’s diverse cultural heritage, the Festival will provide a platform for individuals, schools, universities, students, policy makers and employers from across the UK to engage in the #languagesdebate. This year’s Festival will include a series of events, comment pieces, online Q&A’s, a social media campaign and downloadable schools packs.

The 2014 Language Festival will launch on 17 October 2014 at the Language Show Live, the UK’s largest forum for languages, in Olympia London.
